The company Ommej AB is growing steadily with new customers and employees and now two new members have been elected to the board.
After sitting as assistants during the winter, Joakim Bengtsson, experienced entrepreneur with a seat on the board of several software companies, and Petronella Warg, entrepreneur and communications strategist, have been formally clubbed as board members in Ommej AB. Both have also chosen to buy shares in the company.
Joakim Bengtsson is a well-known businessman from Scania with strong expertise in software services and company building. Among other things, he is the founder of the company Lundalogik, now known as Lime Technologies AB (publ), where he was also CEO for 15 years.
- Mental illness in children and young people is far too big a problem today. Ommej has found a way to speed up the help and there is definitely a market need which the already existing customers confirm. Personally, it feels good to invest in a company that makes a profit, and to be able to contribute with over thirty years of experience in building software companies, says Joakim Bengtson.
Petronella Warg has a background in business development, communication and public affairs from, among others, Innovation Skåne, Unilever and the growth company Min Doktor, Sweden's first digital healthcare provider.
- More and more young people are unwell and community efforts are not enough, the queues for BUP are unreasonably long. More efficient working methods are needed. Today's children are used to communicating digitally and through Ommej they are given the opportunity to tell stories on their own terms. It should lead to faster help for the child and reduced costs for society, so now we want to reach out with Ommej to both children and relevant agencies, says Petronella Warg.
Nicolina Fransson is the founder and CEO of Ommej and she is happy about the addition to the board:
- Ommej's entire business concept is based on the fact that I want to make a difference. I am proud that both employees and the board choose to get involved for the same reason - we want children who are having a hard time to get help, sooner rather than later.
Ommej is an app, a digital tool that makes it easier for children to tell how they feel, which in turn means that adults can more quickly understand what help is needed, for example from the school, BUP or Social Services. Ommej was founded in 2018 and today has customers and users all over the country. Last year, Ommej brought in safe investors in Almi Invest and RAM International AB and was then able to expand the team with marketing and sales expertise. Now the company is also advertising for a COO/CTO who can relieve the CEO and head of development for future ventures. Other board members are Fabian Hagman (president), Magdalena Gräff, serial entrepreneur and investor and Anna Gisselson, Almi Invest. CEO and founder is Nicolina Fransson. The head office is at Minc in Malmö.
