Today we publish Ommej Report 2026, a report based on children's own responses in Ommej.
The report shows that children's difficulties rarely stand alone. What is noticeable at school is often connected to what is going on at home, in the network, in the child's mood and in their everyday life. When we do not see the whole child, we therefore risk missing how different parts of the child's life affect each other.
In the report, we only show a portion of everything that can be seen in the material. But one thing is already clear: children's lives do not follow the boundaries between our activities.
For the child, several parts are interconnected, including school, home, relationships, security, finances and well-being, which we highlight in the report. Therefore, our way of understanding, following up and providing support also needs to be based on the child's entire life situation.
Children's own stories make the whole picture clearer. They help us discover needs earlier, understand more and act better.
Children should not be adapted to our activities. Our activities should be adapted to the children.
